:: What is the best thing that a £1.00 can do for you? ::

When you live here in UK, sometimes you feel that nothing much that you can do with such an amount of money. Well, this experience had reflected me of what such an amount of money can do to my life. Last year (if I'm not mistaken, end of December 2008), I had booked a 3-day hotel room somewhere in UK for April 2009. However, something came up and we had to cancel the trip. Fortunately, when I booked the room, I had also bought the room cancellation insurance. I did not know actually why I bought it at that time, because normally I wouldn't pay for such an insurance. First, I thought maybe this is just a business marketing strategy, the hotel will just get more benefit rather than helping the users. Second, even if I cancel the room booking, it must have been difficult to claim for the insurance. But, when I had to cancel the booking, I contacted the person-in-charge and they gave me a claim number and a form to be filled. I filled all the details and returned back the form to them together with the proofs. Guess what? Just in a few weeks (actually just in two-week time), I got a FULL refund of my booking! Although it may not be that much but hey!!...it's for a 3-day hotel room! And the best part is... it wasn't that much hassle as I thought it would be.... and I GOT IT ... without any further investigation.. BUT of course with a reasonable justification that make it eligible for claiming purpose.. not just simply claim because you cancel the trip.. Ok guys, just a penny tip for you guys.

:: Day 3 : Clarks Village ::

Shopping time :)
More info here.

:: Day 3: Lydford Gorge, Devon ::

So what to do on our way back to Birmingham? After discussion, we agreed to stop by the Lydford Gorge at Devon. Although the place was not as what we expected, we really enjoyed the journey ... It has the deepest gorge in the South West, with spectacular 30 meter waterfall. This was the first hiking activity I had since I was here in UK. If you are a nature lover, you will enjoy this place. For more info, refer this site.

:: Day 2 : Land's End, Cornwall ::

At last, we arrived at Land's End but it was too late i.e. after 6:00pm. Although all the shops were already closed, we managed to snap a few photos. For more info, refer here.

:: Day 2 : The Mullion Cove, Cornwall ::

What is so interesting about this place? It was once used as a harbour ...for whatever reason... nonetheless, the view from this cove was amazingly stunning. The weather was sunny and just a bit windy.
For more information, refer this url with a breathtaking video to view the site.

:: Day 1 : The Lizard, Cornwall ::

Arrival date and time : 22 May 09, time 12:30pm
Place : Parkdean Mullion Holiday Park

Our first destination was to the nearest tourist attraction just a few miles from our caravan. This place has stunning scenery surrounded by sea with a white lighthouse building nearby. If you want to know the history, refer here.

:: Amsterdam - Day 2 @City centre ::

Destination 4: 100 Highlights Cruise

Yes, its true that this is definitely an experience not to be missed when you reach Amsterdam city. But to be honest, I felt a bit sleepy during the one-hour trip..hehe.. not too exciting for me..I guess.. Irfan was enjoying himself coloring a picture of the boat during the trip...

Lunch time : KFC again...

We also tried the best fries in Amsterdam..

Departure time : 5pm from Amsterdam city back to Europort...

This time we had a cabin facing the sea, but did it make any difference? Honestly, I don't need a window.. just need a nice place to sleep and rest. ZZZZzzzzzzz
